    Obiettivi formativi

    Course objectives

The course provides knowledge on the structural and functional organization of plants to establish relationships, as well as reproductive mechanisms. It investigates the ways in which cells and organs differentiate to perform specialized functions and the evolutionary path that led them to their current forms. The skills provided by the course concern the ability to highlight the relationships between cytological, ultrastructural, histological, anatomical, morphological and organographic aspects framing them in the characteristics of the development environment. The set of topics proposed will offer the student an overview of plant biology and plant development.

    Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Biology acquired in secondary school

    Teaching methods

Lectures are held in the classroom with the help of multimedia presentations and teaching material. The slides presented and commented in class are entirely made available to the students. The slides are not exhaustive and their content must be integrated with what will be said in class and / or by consulting one or more reference texts.

    Evaluation methods

There are no on-going tests but the only final test, consisting of a written test and an oral test. The 40-minute written test consists of open-ended questions on the main topics of the course. The written test is passed if the score of 18/30 is reached; in this case the student will have access to the oral exam, which will focus on the entire exam program and will verify the knowledge of cytology, histology, taxonomy and reproduction of plant organisms.
