Contents | RIEMANN INTEGRAL, ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS, DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS FOR FUNCTIONS OF MORE VARIABLES, MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM OF FUNCTIONS OF MORE VARIABLES. |
Textbook and course materials | A. Ventre, Matematica. Metodi per il calcolo e la rapresentazione, Aracne Editore, 2018 |
Course objectives | Knowledge and ability to understand: At the end of the course the student will have consolidated the knowledge of Mathematics acquired during the course "Institutions of Mathematics" and will have learned to apply them to the resolution of simple integrals and differential equations, to the study of functions of two real variables, to the evaluation of the maxima and minima of a real function of two variables. |
Prerequisites | All the topics covered in the teaching "Institutions of Mathematics" |
Teaching methods | Lectures |
Evaluation methods | Written and oral examination. The written part consists of exercises related to all the topics, to be performed justifying the logical steps, and by a definition or statement of a theorem. The written examination lasts 2 hours and notes or books can not be consulted. The written test is preparatory to the oral examination, which can be accessed only if an assessment is obtained in the written test greater than or equal to 18/30. The oral examination is not mandatory. It is also remembered that to take the exam, both written and oral, it is necessary to ascertain the identity of the candidate; it is therefore recommended to bring a valid ID card. |
