Contents | The course aims to provide the student with the methodologies necessary for the design of high power and efficiency conversion systems. Both DC / DC and bi-directional AC / DC conversion systems will be processed. |
Textbook and course materials | -additional material prepared by the professor |
Course objectives | The student will learn the basic techniques of designing a conversion system starting from the specifications imposed by the client and the regulations in force, and in particular the design of AFE / SAFE converters both from the point of view of hardware and control. It will also have to know the main topologies used for both high and low voltage conversion and those emerging in all sectors where power density is a crucial aspect (eg aeronautics). It will also be able to realize analog / digital elementary circuits starting from the assigned specifications. Another skill that will be acquired is the development of active / passive protection techniques and the planning of a minimum set of hardware and software tests to guarantee the safety of people and things. |
Prerequisites | - Electrotechnics, |
Teaching methods | oral lessons. Laboratory exercises |
Evaluation methods | discussion of the elaborate home and oral exam |
