Contenuti | Sicurezza in laboratorio. Introduzione all’analisi quantitativa. Precisione e accuratezza dell’analisi. Analisi statistica dei dati. La pesata. Analisi gravimetrica. Analisi volumetrica. Titolazioni in solventi non acquosi. Titolazioni di precipitazione. Titolazioni di complessazione. Titolazioni di ossido-riduzione. Principali tecniche strumentali impiegate in chimica analitica. Metodi elettrochimici. Metodi ottici di analisi. Metodi cromatografici. Esercitazioni in laboratorio a posto singolo. |
Testi di riferimento | Skoog, West, Holler, Crouch. Fondamenti di Chimica. |
Regolamento CLP. |

Textbook and course materials | Skoog, West, Holler, Crouch. Fondamenti di Chimica. |
Course objectives | At the end of the course the student will have to demonstrate knowledge of the basic concepts of analytical chemistry concerning acid-base equilibria, the formation of precipitates and complexes, redox and their application to classical volumetric analyzes. He/she must have acquired the knowledge on quantitative analysis using instrumental techniques and on the statistical principles that must be applied to the evaluation of results. The student must be able to understand the quantitative essays present in the PE. |
Prerequisites | Knowledges and skills furnished by the course of General and Inorganic Chemistry. |
Teaching methods | The course is divided into 64 hours of lectures conducted by the professor. The topics are dealt with in the classroom with the help of Power Point slides. Also available to the student P.P. containing exercises, even with a guide to the solution, exercises they perform in the laboratory in a single place. |
Evaluation methods | Laboratory practical exam, written test and final oral exam. Only students who have attended at least 80% of laboratory exercises are allowed to take the practical test. The practical laboratory exercises can, in turn, be carried out only by the students enrolled who attend lectures. The presence in the classroom will be ascertained by the professor in appropriate ways. Passing the practical test will allow the student to take the written test consisting of a series of questions and numerical exercises. Passing the written test will allow the student to take the final oral exam. |
Other information | The professor is available for additional explanations during the dates that are indicated in the web site and upon receiving an email to fix an appointment. |
